Kerri Channel - Chertsey - 2009

This was the first time I had ordered flowers from you, and therefore I was rather apprehensive about it all, but you were very supportive and helpful which made it a lot less stressful than it could have been. I did find a couple of things confusing (and slightly nerve racking) like not realising that VAT wasn’t included in the total price until the later stages of the checkout – big oversight on my part, my credit card blocking the transaction in Euros and the tracking system suggesting there was a problem with my delivery…but you were always just an email away to help me make sense of it all and once the flowers had arrived (before lunch time on the Wednesday) I was very relieved.

The flowers were packaged incredibly well, with great care and attention taken in order to protect them, I was very impressed! The freesias were stunning, and in excellent condition, with lots of new flower heads ready to bloom for the Saturday. The roses were gorgeous, a perfect size (I had been worried the heads would be too small) and lasted well with only a small amount suffering bruising. The purple tipped lys had a lot of new buds and those that were already out lasted well. More of the deep purple lisianthus were already out in full and had got slightly battered in transit, however due to the amount of buds it wasn’t too difficult to preserve most and encourage more to replace those I couldn’t.

I conditioned the flowers the day they arrived and didn’t touch them again until the next day (Thursday) when I created the isle arrangements (there were ten) and bouquets (four in total), I’ve attached photos. I was able to keep them in water until the Saturday which worked brilliantly – all I had to do was tie the ribbons and remove one freesia head, which had decided to bloom earlier than expected, in the morning.

On the Friday I created the pedestal and the arrangements for the Alta table, entrance table and singing table; and in the evening the five button holes – pictures attached. Then on the Saturday, the big day, I delivered the bouquets and button holes to the bride, created the candle arrangements (six) at the church and attached the isle arrangements – again more pictures!

All in all they looked beautiful and the bride and wedding party were thrilled! According to the mother of the bride, most of the flowers are still looking nice over a week later and one of the guests loved them so much she has asked if I would do exactly the same for her wedding in February…all I can say is that if I gain the courage to do it again…I will definitely order from you!

I also want to say a big thanks to my mum who helped me immensely...if she hadn't... I would never have completed everything on time... thanks mum!
