Easter Flower Ideas

If you're already looking up to dozing away while listening to the Matthäuspassion, maybe making a nice flower arrangement can keep your head together this Easter.

The soft pastel colors of the Amaryllis and the pansy are perfect for Easter and create a really natural look with the Birch and the eggs. This arrangement is simple and quick to make and you can make it as big or as small as you want. You don’t need many flowers for this arrangement as the branches and the eggs fill up just enough space. But it looks expensive with Amaryllis Rilona towering above.
What you need:
  • Amaryllis 'Nymph'
  • Amaryllis 'Rilona'
  • Soft yellow pansies
  • Birch branches
  • Birch bark
  • Wool
  • Different size empty eggs
  • Glass vase
  • Wooden chopsticks to put into the hollow stem of the Amaryllis

Step 1:
  • Wind the birch bark into a roll
  • Wind some wool around it so that it will stay in shape

Step 2:
  • Put the rolls of birch into the glass vase
  • Add the Birch branches
  • NB make a less expensive version in a smaller glass cylinder – or a series in different size cylinders

Step 3:
  • Cut the small soft yellow Pansies from the plants and stick them into the rolls of birch
  • Cut the Amaryllis into two different stem lengths and add
  • Lastly, ‘sprinkle’ some eggs in between the Birch and the flowers

The final result:
Let the Easter egg hunt begin!
